How Torkom’s Wisdom Transformed My Life
Spiritual journeys are deeply personal, filled with moments of inspiration, challenges, and transformation. One of our community members,R.D., recently shared his heartfelt reflection with us. May his story inspire you to embrace your own journey with faith, patience, and dedication.
1. What led you to seek spiritual guidance …
My first contact with the reaching was reading a couple of biography’s. One was a biography of H.P. Blavatsky. The other was Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi. Both affected me deeply.
2. What inspired you to join this community …
I knew of Torkom from lectures I attended in Denver CO back in the 80s. After losing my way for a number of years in many respects, I want to return to the teaching. But despite losing my way in some respects, I always clung to something Torkom told me once. “You are going to be successful.” As a writer I believe I’m starting to be finally. It wasn’t in my time, but such things never are. It’s always in God’s time, and because of great striving.
3. What challenges have you faced in your journey …
So many, but mostly periods of low self esteem or self pity.
4. What triumphs or successes have you experienced that you would like to share with others …
Well before I met Torkom I was a pretty miserable human being, but slowly over the years I have changed and grown so much as a creative person. I have increased my talent as an artist, and I have begun to have great success as a screenwriter. I learned to not only play the Celtic harp, but how to compose songs on the harp. I am now a talented ceramics student.
5. Insights and Reflections …
I don’t really meditate yet, except that I consider writing stories a great form of meditation and concentration. I do that regularly.
6. Future Aspirations …
I want to write and get produces movies that embody strong and very high spiritual values and principles, but I want to do it in such a way that people will embrace spirituality instead of reject it or scorn it.
