What Did We Do Last Year for the Progress of Our Soul?

Torkom opens this lecture with a thought-provoking question: “What did we truly do last year for the progress of our soul?”  He points out that many of our difficulties arise when the core — the soul within us — strives to grow, while the shell — our outer nature — becomes hard and does not allow the core to bloom. He reminds us that true progress begins when the core and the shell grow together in harmony — through self-observation, planned study and meditation, giving, and the practice of gratitude.
